How it works
Three steps. Results by email.
Tell us your website
Your web address, your first name and where to send the results.
We check your home page
The way Google, AI tools and a customer on a phone would — more than 20 checks.
Your score arrives by email
A score out of 100 in five areas, with the top fixes in plain words.
What we check
Five things we check, in plain words.
Each area gets a score out of 100. Together they make your overall score. It's an automated estimate from a quick check of your home page — not a full audit.
- Area 01 · 25% of your score
Found on Google
Can Google find your site, read it and show it?
- A clear page title and summary that show up in search results
- One main headline that says what you do
- Nothing telling Google to stay away, plus a robots.txt file and a sitemap (your list of pages)
- Links to your other pages, and descriptions on your images
- Area 02 · 20% of your score
Ready for AI
Can AI tools read your site and quote your answers?
- AI search tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini are allowed in
- Structured data (labels that tell machines who you are and what you do)
- Plain answers to the questions customers ask
- Enough words on the page to explain what you do
- Area 03 · 20% of your score
Fast on phones
Does your site open fast on a phone?
- Speed on a phone, measured with Google PageSpeed Insights
- The site fits phone screens
- Your server starts answering quickly
- The page isn't weighed down by extra code
- Area 04 · 20% of your score
Turns visits into calls
Is it easy to call you, book or get in touch?
- A phone number people can tap to call
- A booking button or a contact form
- An easy-to-find contact page
- Area 05 · 15% of your score
Trust
Does your site look safe and real to a new customer?
- The padlock (HTTPS), every time
- Your business details described for Google
- A phone number, email or address on the page
- A proper title and picture when your link is shared
Phone speed is measured with Google PageSpeed Insights (mobile). If it can't be measured, it's left out of your total and the email says so. Scores are automated estimates from a quick check of your home page.
Questions
About the free score.
What is the free website score?
A quick automated check of your home page. We look at it the way Google, AI tools and a new customer on a phone would, score five areas out of 100, and email you the results with the top fixes in plain words.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no cost and no card. If you'd like help with the fixes afterwards, you can see if you qualify for a WebEngine build — that part is up to you.
How is the score worked out?
We run more than 20 checks on your home page — things like your page title, whether Google and AI tools are allowed in, tap-to-call and booking, and the padlock. Phone speed comes from Google PageSpeed Insights. Each check has a weight, and the five areas add up to your overall score. It is an automated estimate, not a full audit.
How long does it take?
The check starts as soon as you send the form, and the email usually arrives within a few minutes. If you can't find it, look in your spam folder.
What happens to my information?
We use it to send your report. Your details and your score are also saved to VIS Mountain's CRM (our customer list) so our WebEngine team can follow up about your report. If you reply to the email, your reply goes to [email protected], and that's where our team answers from.
Does a high score mean I'll rank on Google?
No. Nobody can promise rankings, and this score doesn't either. It shows whether the basics are in place — the things that make it easier for Google, AI tools and customers to find you, understand you and get in touch.
Can you fix what the report finds?
Often, yes — that's what a web engine is for. See if you qualify for a WebEngine build: a strategist reviews every application and replies with next steps.
